Assalamu'alaikum wr wb. tak jawab dosa....heheh

it's Syawal the 15 today and i have decided to end my raya visiting or so i hoped

seriously speaking from my thoughts, i am truly exhausted

exhausted over what i don't know....you might want to question and then mock me on my claim of exhaustion cos for the 1st time ever, mak and i didn't cook all the hari raya dishes this year

our sambal goreng pengantin, rendang daging were prepared and cooked by Shereen's Kitchen - a nice lady whom i've just got acquainted with on FB

though i didn't get to sample all her dishes prior, i went with my gut feelings and instinct on the notion that kalau kita niat baik, pulangannya pun tetap baik-baik aja, insyaAllah

Alhamdulillah, Shereen's Kitchen never disappoints!

on top of that, kan memang my motto - there's always 1st time for everything, never try never know wat.... :)

i also ordered sambal tumis udang this time with ketupat too

however, my kitchen tak lah totally tak berasap you....mak esah still cooked her signature kuah kacang and small pot of sayur lodeh and i whipped up 6kg of ayam debal (devil's curry). the latter couldn't last....since it's kiddos favorite, they don't savour any other except for ayam debal - ayam debal pagi, ayam debal petang, ayam debal malam

itu ajer yang jowang bedal hari-hari

macam ni, 6kilo ayam pun memang not enough!

but this year, i did spend a wholesome time in the kitchen - baking with heiress

i managed to come up with a number of hari raya cookies -

suji oats

honey cornflakes

chocolate cornflakes macaroon

makmur

cheese biscuits (ni tak berapa menjadi sangat, probably too much flour added so tak crunchy like i would have expected)

oreo balls

moi also did cakes! - kek batik & tapak kuda nutella

i guess that's where all my energy was channelled to. i think.

this year syawal also sees a lot of positive changes in my heiress

she has become more rajin in helping around the house, especially when there are guests

dia lah yang top-up kuih muih, serve drinks, collects and wash the dishes

senyum sipu-sipu macam kerang wangi bila di puji...tu lah anak dara tiang para ku.

ok lah, me nak solat asar and then prepare to head home
