musuh yang paling merbahaya ialah sikap penakut dan ragu-ragu;
teman yang paling menguntungkan ialah keyakinan dan keberanian

rasulullah saw telah mengajarkan suatu doa untuk berlindung daripada sifat-sifat tercela, seperti penakut, pemalas dan sebagainya;

Allaahumma innii a'uudzubika minal hammi wal hazan
wa a'uudzubika minal 'ajzi wal kasal, wa minal jubni wal bukhl
wa a'uudzubika min ghalabatid daini waqahrir rijaal

note: the opening doa is similar to doa masok toilet kan? tapi jangan salah enterframe pulak allahumma innii a'uudzubika minal khubutsi wal khabaits....kang lain pulak jadi. semoga doa di atas boleh dijadikan amalan harian kiter ek.

Syukur Alhamdulillah. Nisfu Sya'aban is here again. Another year added to an already old world. Kiamat is coming near. Exactly when is everyone's wonder. Only Allah the Creator the most Magnificient knows. Subhanallah.

and i am greatly disappointed for i can't join the rest of my brothers and sisters this nisfu syaaban. i have to give my fast a miss for reasons which i do not have power over it. everything happens for a reason. i believe in Allah's plans for me. I plan, Allah wills. so this year He says i shall not fast for nisfu syaaban. but then i still can fast for the rest of syaaban, can i?...insyaallah.

so for all of you who have been fasting since sunday or maybe since the beginning of syaaban, syabas for all of you. may we find peace and solitude in Allah and His Messenger. May our love for Him be stronger than before. May we become better muslimin and muslimah. May we satisfy our roh and iman as to what Allah has expected of us to do.

for her.

i dedicate this entry to a special being, Allah's creation. it started off with a modest 'salam' thru email. from there the acquaintance moved on to something more real, i could finally touch that being, embrace her in warmth she could possibly offer in all her sincerest thoughts. i embraced her tighter and it never felt so good in a spiritual sense.

for all her knowledge imparted, for all her thoughts spoken, i am closer to HIM and His Messenger like i was never before.

she is afterall, aura :-

an invisible breath, emanation, or radiation.
a distinctive but intangible quality that seems to surround a person or thing

and may i add, she is a breath of fresh air.

she speaks of hasanaa, to make an end by gaining khusnul khatimah, hand in hand as we walk on that path to peace at Jannah.

ustazah, sis, lovely....she is everything that i am not.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her.

aku bersyukur diciptakan menjadi wanita.

Beruntungnya seorang wanita yg ada rahim ini ialah dia bekerja dgn Tuhan...jadi 'kilang' manusia. Tiap2 bulan dia diberi cuti bergaji penuh...7 sehingga 15 hari sebulan dia tak wajib sholat tetapi Allah anggap diwaktu itu sholat terbaik darinya.
Cuti bersalin juga sehingga 60 hari. Cuti ini bukan cuti suka hati tapi cuti yg Allah beri sebab dia bekerja dgn Allah. Org lelaki tak ada cuti sholat...sholat wajib baginya dari baligh sehingga habis nyawanya.
Satu lagi berita gembira utk wanita, sepanjang dia mengandung Allah sentiasa mengampunkan dosanya, lahir saja bayi seluruh dosanya habis. Inilah nikmat Tuhan beri kepada wanita, jadi kenapa perlu takut nak beranak?
Marilah kita pegang kpd tali Allah. Seandainya wanita itu mati sewaktu >bersalin, itu dianggap mati syahid Allah izinkan terus masuk Syurga. Utk org kafir dia tak dpt masuk Syurga tapi Allah beri kelonggaran siksa kubur.
Utk peringatan semua wanita yg bersuami seluruh kebaikan suaminya, semuanya isteri dpt pahala tetapi dosa2 suami dia tak tanggung.
Di akhirat nanti seorang wanita solehah akan terperanjat dgn pahala extra yg banyak dia terima diatas segala kebaikan suaminya yang tak disedari.
Bila dia lihat suaminya tgh terhegeh-hegeh di titian Sirat dia tak nak masuk syurga tanpa suaminya, jadi dia pun memberi pahalanya kpd suami utk lepas masuk syurga.

Sayidatina Aisyah r.a. menceritakan, Rasulullah SAW telah bersabda :

Allah SWT berfirman :
Sesiapa yang meminta ampun maka Aku mengampunkannya, mereka yang ditimpa bala bencana Aku lepaskannya, mereka yang meminta rezeki Aku berikan rezekinya."

Insyaallah mudah mudahan kita semua mendapat berkatNya.
Rasulullah berpesan "sebarkanlah ajaranku walaupun sebaris ayat"
Masyaallah.

Health is the most important aspect of human life; without it we cannot function well.
Today we have made material progress and technological advancement, but the world is widespread with an increasing number of diseases.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us many aspects of healthy living which Allah ordered him to teach mankind. He himself enjoyed good health.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) prescribed black seeds (habbas-sawda), which he said is a cure for all diseases except death.
It is true that if we take a few black seeds in the morning we are protected from many diseases - to mention only a few: coughs, colds, arthritis, nausea, constipation etc.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said olive oil is a cure for many diseases which is quite true as has been proved by medical standards.
One tbsp. of olive oil daily in the morning overcomes pains in the joints and lessens the risk of heart attack.

In the Qur an Allah prescribed honey as a cure for mankind, which is so true.
If we take honey at breakfast we are protected from many diseases, for example, coughs, colds, asthma and depression etc. We should make sure the honey is pure.
If we apply it to our eyes we do not need glasses.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) regularly eat dates, which has been proved by medical standards to contain all the nutrients of a well-balanced diet.
It is very energizing as well, and we know from the Prophet Muhammad s life that he was always energetic.

He relished goat's milk, which is very low in fat and is a cure for many diseases.
Moreover he was very fond of all milk, drank himself and presented to others.
Drinking milk reduces the risk of heart attacks as has been established by medical standards. He used to put honey in it and drink it which too is very energizing.

Then he didn't have milk, he used to put honey in water and drink it which is also very energizing.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) prohibited the intake of pork as enjoined by Allah, as it is not healthy to eat its meat because it feeds on dirt which causes many diseases.

In the Qur'an it is also forbidden to use intoxicants which are not healthy as has been proved by medical standards. Even occasional drinking of wine causes migraine headaches.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) recommended using the miswak regularly, which keeps the teeth and gums clean and healthy.
It is a cure for thyroid problems too, if we use it in the interior teeth and gums.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) recommended sleeping early, night after Ishaa prayer, as early night sleep promotes health.

He enjoined us to wake up early, as the early morning sunlight is beneficial for health and cures many diseases.

He also advised to rest in the afternoon after lunch, which refreshes us and now most workers in the U.S.A. are demanding break in the afternoon for short naps as they say the Mediterranean naps refresh them and they have a better input to continue work instead of increase in wages.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us to wash after relieving oneself, which protects us from many diseases.
He also ordered to use the left hand for washing afterwards since it protects us from becoming a carrier of many diseases.
He recommended clipping the nails, which also keeps us from becoming a carrier of many diseases.

If we follow all the above mentioned recommendations we can lead more healthy lives, which will be very fulfilling for us and the people around us, as was practiced and enjoined by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Cleanliness and personal hygiene was taught and practiced by the Prophet (peace be upon him). He taught us to clean our teeth and wash ourselves by performing ablution before prayers, which protects us from many diseases.

Cataract of the eyes develops due to air pollution, so doctors recommend washing the eyes after exposure from outside or workplaces to avoid cataract from developing.
If we follow all these health points preached and practiced by the Prophet (peace be upon him), we can lead more healthy and fruitful lives.

Insyaallah.

Thanks AbgLong

QUESTIONS ASKED BY CHRISTIAN MISSIONARIES & THEIR ANSWERS BY DR. ZAKIR NAIK

Question 1
In the holy Quran name of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came only 5 times whereas name of Isa ( A.S) i.e. Jesus (pbuh) came 25 times. Who is greater?

Answer
There was no need to take name of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) by ALLAH (swt) again and again because he was the person whom ALLAH (swt) was addressing directly and when you talk directly to someone who is with you, you will not take his name again and again. Since Isa ( A.S) i.e. Jesus (pbuh) was not available there at that time so whenever ALLAH (swt) referred him ALLAH (swt) took his name.

If one still not convinced then what do you say about prophet Moses (pbuh) i.e. Moosa (A.S) whose name came 125 times in the Quran. If you insist on this criteria then what do you say now?

Question 2
They say that it is mentioned in holy Quran that the Bible is the word of God then why don't muslim follow the Bible?

Answer
Its no where mentioned in the holy QURAN that BIBLE is from God. INJEEL is from GOD not BIBLE. We believe in INJEEL. Present BIBLE is not purely INJEEL of Isa ( A.S) and it is changed so we can not accept it as true INJEEL by GOD.

Question 3
The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has parents but Jesus (pbuh) has no father and had only mother. What do you say who is more greater the person who has father and mother or the person who doesn't have father and have only mother?

Answer
In the QURAN it is mentioned that the birth of Jesus (pbuh) is like ADAM ( A.S). So if Jesus (pbuh) has no father then ADAM (A.S) had no father nor mother. So ADAM (A.S) can be considered bigger GOD than Jesus (pbuh) if this is the criteria.

(It is also mentioned in Bible in the Book of Hebro Chapter No.7 Verse No.2 there is a person named King Melkesedix who is king of Salim. He has no begining nor ending (no mother no father). So this king should be considered even greater than prophet Adam (A.S) and Isa (pbuh) if this is the criteria.

Question 4
Jesus (pbuh) had many miracles like giving life to the dead whereas Muhammad (pbuh) did not do that. So who is greater?

Answer
Miracles are always done by the will of ALLAH (swt) by prophets and Jesus (pbuh) also did that with the will of ALLAH (swt). You can not consider any prophet greater having miracles. If this is true then what do you say about prophet Moses (pbuh) who did greater miracle by first making non-living thing (wood) into living thing (snake) and then made it alive (double miracle). This is also mentioned in Quran as well as in Bible.

Question
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was died but Jesus (pbuh) is not dead and will come again. Who is greater?

Answer
Only one prophet Jesus (pbuh) was not died and taken up alive by ALLAH (swt). This happened because followers of Jesus (pbuh) had wrong concept about him that he is GOD. So before the Day of Judgement he will come back again but with no new addition or deletion in religion (Islam) only just as a follower (Ummati) of Mohammad (pbuh) and will say to Christians that I never claimed I am son of God and pray to me.

Also mentioned in the Bible New Testament that people will come and say to him that Oh Lord Oh Lord have we not done wonders and miracle in your name then he will reply get out from here I don't even know you.

Jesus (pbuh) is not God. He never claimed Divinity:
Gospel of John 14:28, 10:29 & 5:30
Gospel of Mathew 12:28
Gospel of Luke 11:20

May Allah (swt) show us the right path. Amin.

last night hubby and i were at the theatre watching this fella called matt bourne aka jason bourne aka daud sarang (david webb laaa) strutting his fighting skills. oh he is so unlike james bond. between matt bourne and mat sentol, ooops sorry..james bond i will gladly put my money on the former. the ultimatum - rempuh all the way till the end.

budak matt damon tu is without a doubt an accomplished actor in his own right. but my feelings for si budak mark wahlberg will never change lah beb. the latter is still the best in the movie The Departed alongside si budak karam (titanic remember?) leonardo dicaprio and si tua juling menjeng jack nicholson. and oh anak pak damon also acted in this movie. a real powerhouse i must say.

okay that's enough for today. go and watch the movie. i'll give it 4 out of 5. sure beats the hell out of that jackie chan and chris tucker latest movie release. doesn't matter if you missed the 1st 2 product of bourne movie. you'll catch up soon enough. hey i watched jack sparrow in his 3rd appearance then went to the vcd shop and rented the 1st two sequels. see, i'm still alive what.

my plan for the weekend? go rent bourne identity and supremacy. indulge.

and oh blind me, how could i forget. kak lyn, watch out you, i'm soOO gonna break your ribs with my super duper whooper hug. tengoklah besok. lol.

Salams everyone.
i am on the last chapter of the book islam our choice - portraits of modern american muslim women. it is a very aspiring book. makes me gather my 2 palms and thank Allah for granting me Islam by birth. these women from the book are converts and to top it all, they are americans. we all know how haphazard and contradicting their lifestyles can be in their so called freedom society. yet, these women managed to overcome those obstacles and are still calling america their home. it makes me ashamed and a realization hit me hard that while we are surrounded by our very own community and our blessed religion where carrying out our islamic duties are never a difficult task at all, yet we are so caught up with other mundane, trivia and worldly issues until we forget what we are here for and WHO brought us here to begin with.

Islam is the truest way of life. Islam calls upon us to LIVE LIFE. at the same time Islam calls upon us to LIVE for HEREAFTER

coming up next - a history of the prophets of islam volume II (Moses, Aaron, Joshua, Samuel, David, Solomon, Elijah, Elisha, Dhul-Kifi, Jonah, Zechariah, John, Jesus, Muhammad)

peace be upon ther

this one has yet overcome her fear

after having settled down in the club and solat 'asr, off we went to changi airport for our dinner. her royal highness was fasting on that friday so i got to choose what i wanted to eat..yey. so we settled for popeyes chicken n biscuit at T1 airport. 1st time we dined there. comments? loved their mashed potato with brown sauce and with those small bits of chicken in the sauce i guess. the fried chicken was just okay lah...

oiiitt! dah nyekik dulu...

the heir can totally relate to the word popeye cos he IS Popeye...kudut

at the club's games room

just chillin' and goofin' around

us foursome, gerek

muka kalo dah bulat, pose macam maner pun tetap t-e-m-b-a-m. sheesh

saturday morning we spent time soaking in the pool while waiting for mcdonalds breakfast to be delivered right to our doorstep. the rest of the day was spent in the room, lazing on the bed watching tv and playing games at the arcade. by 3pm we left the club for tampines mall. kids got themselves transformers toys, thanks to toys r us and their abah (maklum owang tu nyer ari gaji). he offered to buy for me a red charles n keith bag which i kinda took a liking for but something came over me that day which was so unlike me. i declined his offer. boleh sey gitu. tolak tuah namanyer. what was i thinking!?!!
now the most freaking weird was at isetan i ended up with a pair of sultry black heels which i paid for, yes myself. what on earth was i thinking??!!

after solat 'asr at darul ghufran we stopped over at bedok food court for dinner and my break fast (or is it bedok corner or simpang bedok or are they both the same actually? someone..pls help me). his royal highness was very generous with his choice of food that evening. i wonder if that's becos he saved 40 bucks upon my declination on his offer for that red bag...oh yeah, the red bag, sigh. i wonder again if he did get for me the bag, would i end up with just otah?...ehheeheh, such impromptu and inappropriate thoughts i have. syaitan, get lost, away from my brain cells can? fact is, all the years i've known him he is never a scrooge. love you lah!

oh i've sidetracked just now. where were we..ah food. he ordered sate, fried oyster cake, bbq stingray, squid, lala and kailan. quite a spread considering heir and heiress didn't eat one bit pun cos they had lunch at tampines mall earlier. alhamdulillah both of us managed to finish up all the spread. MasyaAllah, Alhamdulillah.
on sunday morning we drove home a happy contented family. heir got his transformers toys. heiress got her very own emboidery making set. her royal highness got her new heels. his royal highness smile of joy seeing his wife and offsprings basking with happiness and fulfilment. thank you allah, thank you, thank you.

there are no right words to describe my feelings. i feel very contented for allah has shown upon us his guidance and love. given a year ago, i would not include sejadah, telekung in my travel bag. i would not even blink at the watch for a second to see whether prayer time has come. we would drive pass a mosque during fardhu adhan and never contemplate whether to stop awhile to perform our prayers. i never felt bad abandoning prayers. thinking back those days, i must have been syaitan's closest alliance.
i never bother myself with puasa that is not associated with ramadhan. back then, i don't see a need to do all that as he knows what is within my heart. yet, i felt lacking in every way. jiwa kosong, empty soul. THAT was how far a distance i have created between HIM and me. Astaghfirullah. somehow or rather back then, i must have spurred a lil thought, a silent prayer. something inside me beckoned me to change. i believe allah has answered my silent prayer. he has answered emak's countless prayers for her youngest daughter. prayers from my loved ones for me have been answered.
i find it ironic now as i begin to understand that while Allah knows what is in our hearts, we have to do something to tell HIM that HE is no. 1 in our hearts. it is for HIM we live, for HIM we die. because of HIM we live, because of HIM we die. yes, i have strayed. strayed too far. i have sins, countless sins. i am still making up for it. my only quest and hope now is seeking HIS forgiveness and hoping for our beloved prophet's (peace be unto him) intercession when the time comes. but till that time comes, i pray that i will not stray again. i pray that Allah guides me on HIS rightful path.

Subhanallah
Alhamdulillah

Salams everyone. yes, i love u, u, u, u, u....

tomorrow is yet another important event in our Islamic calendar. let's celebrate this magnificient event. perbanyakkan ibadah, solat sunat and kalau puasa sunat besok lagilah MasyaAllah. insyaallah for every good intention followed by good deed, Allah maha mengetahui.

a bit of info to share on thie eventful night called Isra' Mikraj.

The 27th of Rajab (the 7th month of the Islamic calendar) commemorates the night of Prophet Muhammad's ascent to heaven, also called Israk Mikraj in Singapore. Prophet Muhammad rode to heaven on a winged horse known as a buraq. It flew from Mecca to Jerusalem, then carried the Prophet through the seven levels of heaven where he met some earlier prophets of Islam, and brought him home before the night was over. After this momentous night, the five daily prayers were established.
To honour this event, special lectures or sermons are held at mosques on this day, as well as readings from the Qur'an, especially from Surat al-Isra' - the chapter on the Night Journey.

so nanti rajin rajinlah baca berita harian, there are many many sermons and special lectures being held in many mosques in singapore. don't need to travel far, your neighbourhood mosque will be just fine.

perhaps sis muna can give you some ideas on where to attend syarahan agama these coming days.

or when was the last time you stepped your blessed feet in the house of Allah? give it a little thought, no harm done. make tomorrow a 1st time ever or 1st time after sooooo long. well hey, there's always a 1st time to everything. never try never know. just hope that death doesn't come upon you before you decided to.....

so continuation of the prawn fishing saga on wed nite. place was great, ample prawns to catch using a simple fishing rod. but there wasn't a single food stall cater for muslims. luckily her royal highness had anticipated that and i got bibik to stash snacks and titbits for the lil kids. while we sipped on iced tea and munching on chips, i got myself a good 'kaki' to hang out and chill the night with. kak ruby is our newly joined storehand's wife. i had a great time talking yakeety-yakking with her till almost midnight.

and oh did i mention that i caught a huge gedek prawn which can passed off easily like a lobster. caught by accident really. i was busy chitty chatting with kak ruby when suddenly this gedek prawn decided to end its journey on my bait. nasib lah....oh, heir managed to get 2 and heiress 1. hehehee, ibu still tops lah!!

nurul iffah aka cabbage patch

afiq and his 1st catch of the nite

it's 6.25pm and i'm stuck in the office. i sort of wrapped up my work couple of minutes ago. i should be heading home but noooooooooo.......there's always something going on especially on pre-holiday mood cam gini.

soon (hopefully after maghrib), the whole office gang is heading down to sin ming golf driving range for you guess what....prawn fishing! am i using the right grammar here? well it can't possibly be prawn catching or prawn baiting kan? so prawn fishing it is. for $30 we can catch those prawns for 3hours. don't ask me what kind of prawns to catch as i have no clue whatsoever. never been to that place even.
the downside is, his royal highness works today so a colleague's wife is fetching heir and heiress from home and all 17 of us suckers will have fun tonight with our families. syiok kan?

i always look forward to friday. you know fri, sat, sun...mon..boohoo.
but i am sooooo pissed at myself that i gotta give halaqah a miss come this friday nite. i am sooooo gonna miss the learning and sharing session with sis muna, mamadewi and the rest of the sistas.
you see, this friday evening till sunday, i'll be here with his royal highness, heir and heiress. we will be spending a quiet weekend, four of us in the far away local resort.
ah and i've got my rations well prepared. chips, biscuits, bread and of course chocolates and my homemade brownies! we'll probably order pizza, kfc, mac or golden pillow and have 'em delivered right to our doorstep. we'll spend our time messing up the bed, wrecking up the room, soaking in the tub (yes...foursome hhmmm), pool splashing. in short, we will be a chambermaid's nightmare cos we'll do anything that we will never do in our own home...get it? oh yeah, we will rock the house down baby. heh, tak lah...kiter tak brutal lah beb.

and this is all thanks to a free 3d/2n family room stay @ Changi SAF Yacht Club i've won at the lucky draw over lunch with the big bosses some 2 months ago. that voucher was given as a token of appreciation by the club for our participation (we gave them free paints for their racing yachts) in the club's regatta. that voucher will phase out in Sept and it's holy ramadan next month so it's either use now or never.
and i've made booking prior to the halaqah classes. urrggghhh...

but it's okay, everything happens for a reason. spending time with family is also ibadah you know. making people around you happy and enjoying each other's company is a blessing in itself.

with this life i am having, i don't dare to complain. alhamdulillah alhamdulillah alhamdulillah. i just want to make myself a better servant for Allah.

eh but i'm still contactable okay, radar masih strong lah eventhough the place is so hulu to the max. i wonder if they have internet connection in their rooms. ah point to note, call them up tomorrow.

time is like a river
you cannot touch the same water twice
because the flow that has passed will never pass again

this is special for dora honey and the rest of our sisters (macam cikgu bedah speaking london gitu). thanks to dora, i thus ponder further into this topic. i'll try my utmost to make it simple and easy to comprehend, for me and all of you who care to read this entry. pardon and correct me if i make mistakes along the way for i am only a beginner.
Islam is easy if we know how, therefore we need to constantly learn. hendak seribu daya, taknak seribu dalih.
Bidayatul Hidayah by Al Imam Hujjatul Islam Al Ghazali r.a, is the book we use for our weekly halaqah nites. it is broken up into 3 parts :

1st - ways and manners which we carry out in worshipping Allah swt
2nd - ways to abandon maksiat (big sins etc)
3rd - ways and manners we observe and carry out with the social community and in friendships and interactions

from my weekly sunday classes with bonda hjh raja zubaidah and with sis muna on fridays, i feel so acquainted with the book right from the beginning i touched my fingers on the cover.

bonda always stress that for us to be that closer to Allah, it all starts from the basics. things like the way we keep our body clean, performing ablutions, intentions and carrying out prayers. when it comes to prayers all others come into effect - body movements, al-fatehah recitation, as-syahadah and khusyuk (concentration). if any of these are not done properly the others will tumble and fall. just like an impressive architecture with weak foundation, it will eventually lean and kiss the earth.

it is that simple to adopt the 'take-it-easy' attitude like some others will think "takper, Islam tak membebankan umatnya, yang penting nawaitu". oh people, let's us not adopt this approach all the time. true enough, Allah tahu niat hambanya. Allah loves all His creations, and he loves more those who make an effort to know Him, love Him deeply.

imagine in school, the educators are to teach the same syllabus over and over again. you'll be stuck in the same ditch.
same goes in taqwa. while we already testify that there is no god but Allah and we testify that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, what do we do next to go to the level where we can prove to ourselves that we actually say and mean it?

this is where bidayatul and nihayatul hidayah come into effect - the journey to taqwa. and this book gives us guides and amalan harian in the life of a muslim. but learning without a teacher is dangerous. but please, don't say this "takperlah, aper aper nanti kau bilang aku aper kau belajar maser kelas tadi". it's just not the same when you hear from someone else, it's best to attend one yourself. Insyaallah, every good deeds will be rewarded many folds by Allah. every sin we commit will be forgiven by Allah for He is the most forgiving, the most merciful.

start loving Him if you haven't for He has already loved us even before we know Him. such is the magnitude of Allah's blessings and love. do not disappoint Him. we hate ourselves if we disappoint our boyfriend, husband, friends but aren't we ashamed that we let Him down?

so kekawan ku sekelian (hah, ni baru betol cikgu bedah ori), snap out of your slumber and quit basking in the glory of worldly gains. no more excuses, no more procrastination.
i quote what bonda said "satu hari, dua hari Allah maafkan kerana dia lah yang maha pengampun dan memang itu antara sifatNya. tapi kalo dah berbulan bertahun macam gitu jugak, mandi tak sempurna, solat tak betol amacam sekarang? kenaper hamba aku yang sorang ni tak nak jugak belajar kenal aku, tak bersungguh-sungguh, tak nak ikut betol betol aper yang aku suroh?
Tapi Allah tetap akan mendengar doa-doa kiter dan dia tetap akan mengabulkan permintaan hambanya tapi kira macam lu relaks one koner dulu lah eh....ada patients lain yang lebih perlukan perhatian aku...nanti i get back to you okay?"

i conclude an example in an A&E dept lah konon. yang sakit perot, ceret beret, muntah-ber(ak), patah tangan, mata tembel harap isi borang dulu dan duduk di ruangan non-emergency. yang badly injured tapi masih bernafas separoh nyawa...hah meh sini biar Dr kejerkan, biar cepat baik".

pokok akarnya, kalau kita tidak bersunggoh-sunggoh kepadaNya how do we expect Him to put us kat front line, top of His list? kalo nak kat anak dara, hantarlah pinangan, gubahan bekodi kodi, hantaran tinggi tinggi. pasti sang teruna jadik top priority, calon menantu no. 1"
priority beb, priority.

nak contoh lagik??

YANG BAIK SEMUANYA DATANG DARI ALLAH. YANG BURUK HANYA DARI MANUSIA. AMIN.

melayuku tetap no. 1. tak sia sia cikgu pungot buang ajar aku. top malay student 5 years straight beb..betol, tak bedek (winks to dora).

never explain yourself to any one
because the person who likes you doesn't want it
and the person who dislikes you won't believe it

when you keep saying you are busy,
then you are never free.

when you keep saying you have no time,
then you will never have time

when you keep saying that you will do it tomorrow,
then your tomorrow will never come

~thank you abang long~

since today's class with bonda is cancelled, here i am again, sharing a bit of useful knowledge i've got from last friday nite's halaqah;

one must look around him/her and say, "Allah has forgiven the sins of others, how about my sins? Has He forgiven mine? Do I really think I am better than them? Is wearing a jilbab, performing my obligatory prayers suffice and therefore deserve pardon from HIM? What makes me think i am spared from Hellfire if deep down inside i am not sincere and look down on others?"

always keep this thought going in our minds. it will keep us safe from syaitans' whispers, keep us humble and suppress the arrogance stemming from our very own mindset and attitude. the tongue has always been and will always be poison to humans if not used with caution. use it for zikrullah, say the names of Allah, provide supplications for those who are lost, may Allah open the hearts and bestow them bidayatul and nihayatul hidayah. Insyaallah. bottomline is, never stop praying for them.

sis muna once said, provide supplications for 40 others and then for yourself. Insyaallah, Allah will fulfill what we wish for.

Remember, silence does not mean defeat. Winning at the expense of hurting others is one step further from Heaven and a step closer to Hellfire.

MODERATION has always been our Prophet Rasulullah's (pbuh) way of life.

Abide by it, what have we got to lose?

note : kalaulah di tunjukkan depan mata azab neraka, pasti tidak ada satu manusia pun berani membuat dosa. jika dihidukan bau syurga, maka tidak ada satu manusia pun yang menginginkan kehidupan dunia. MasyaAllah

'i borrowed a scarf from Ameenah to attend the friday service at the Islamic Center. she had told me that i would need to wear a scarf on my visit to the mosque. i wore my flowered, wrap-around maxi skirt and long sleeved peasant blouse, topped off with the patterned scarf. my outfit did not match, but it was the best i could do. although i felt awkward wearing the scarf - it was not my usual approach to style - there was a feeling of accuracy to the act. i was a modest person, and the scarf represented modesty to me. i sought a way to worship God, and the scarf represented a way of worship to me. wearing this scarf, i was now someone with a purpose, someone with clear intentions.'

- from the book Islam Our Choice, portraits of modern american muslim women

WHAT ABOUT US, BORN MUSLIM WOMEN?
WHAT IS AWKWARDNESS AND FASHION STYLE COMPARE TO WORSHIPPING ALLAH THE MOST BOUNTIFUL, THE ALMIGHTY AND ATTAIN JANNAH?
DOES A BORN MUSLIM WOMAN NEED TO 'RE-CONVERT' TO ISLAM TO FEEL WHAT THE ABOVE AUTHOR FELT WHEN SHE 1ST FOUND ISLAM? Nauzubillah binzaliq

ASYHADUAN LA ILAHA ILLALLAH (I testify that there is no god but Allah)
WA ASYHADU ANNA MUHAMMADAN RASULULLAH (and i testify that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah)
