it has been one super long weekend indeed

mine started off last saturday afternoon at 3pm when we took off to kempas - jb

dun need to mention about the jam lah, tuas or causeway were all the same

nak tak nak kener tempuh jugak, sabar ajer lah...istighfar more than usual

finally reached kempas at 5.30pm.

nikah started after isya' so we had ample time to r&r for awhile

alhamdulillah, zaki and haslinda were united as husband and wife that night

all of us siblings spent the night at abg long's, except for abg cik n family who clearly had already planned their overnight somewhere else

turned out, cumer 'kiter-kiter-ngan-cik-saleh' jer yang overnite kat umah abg long

sunday morning we didn't sleep after subuh, spending time having fried rice, donuts, vadei over breakfast and engaged in small talks with the rest of the family

the wedding reception was held at a balai rakyat, some 2 minutes drive from abg long's house

the reception went along fine, guests were many...some from our side and mostly from kak long's 'club members' *private joke*

everyting ended at 5pm

that night we slept at bukit indah for the next morning we would be heading to LEDANG RESORT..yey yey.

monday -26th

after breakfast at taman perling and my nephew bonyok joined us soon after, we headed into the highway - didn't stop anywhere and exit at tangkak to ledang resort

traffic into ledang waterfalls rignt after those few stalls selling fritters and drinks was a snail

then we had to wait for the rooms to be ready cos we arrived pretty early

the staff was considerate enough to get 1 room (we booked 3 rooms) ready so that we could put our things and rest while waiting for the other 2 rooms to be ready

we waited no further. right after jama' taqdim we changed and headed straight to the waterfalls - to our usual spot where we used to soak ourselves in previously

ggrrrrrr.....water's so COLD!! but nice, just like how it was intended to be......a gift from nature

we ended the day in the swimming pool

dinner was in a small town called sagil - a 5minutes drive from the resort

few decent food stalls selling decent array of dishes

also tapao ramly burgers along the way

hub, afiq and moi skipped breakfast on tuesday morning

i wanted a longer sleep

but turned out, i couldn't sleep much longer than i intended

kener gegar ngan kakak, they were all ready to head to the waterfalls again - AT 8 AM IN THE MORNING!!!

haiyaaaa........but it was cool, the turned out i mean

dunking ourselves wet in the falls at that hour meant lesser crowd (no crowd even!) and water couldn't be any fresher than that

that was awesome, power to the max

dah puas rendam, makan rempeyek and inang-inang kat atas batu air terjun....best kan!

tak cukup ngan tuh...my sis heret tin rempeyek tu to the pool

fuyoh that had got to be the climax lah eh

on our way home, we stopped at pagoh r&r for lunch

after going through more than an hour jam (right after m'sia immigration) at tuas,

we finally reached home at 4.30pm

now comes the heartwrenching part :

afiq's hamster, manja died

i noticed it first then i told afiq "i tink the hamster is dead"

afiq didn't believe me at first so he took out the plastic tunnel where manja used to hide in and turned it upside down - manja slid out of the tunnel, frozen

next thing i heard - afiq howling like a werewolf wanna-be. heh. okay, that is a little exaggerated.

but he did cry buckets

just think about it lah, kalo semut mati dia dah melalak rabak, aperkan pulak hamster kesayangan dia

he cried like his loved one has died

oh wait, his loved one indeed had died - manja his hamster

apparently from afiq's diagnosis, manja died due to physical attack from siti - wafa's hamster

this siti, is unlike the siti nurhaliza that we know - demure, feminine, affectionate and all

this siti the hamster is a big bully - i guess this time manja did not recover from the brutal attack

i should have bought another cage and separate those two, but i was late

strange thing is, i was very absorbed in coaxing afiq that i did not realise the impact wafa had too upon losing manja

though she did not howl like her brother, but obviously she was shaken

i hugged her and automatically the tears and sobs began

they both asked questions, which although funny to me but obviously these are real life altering/learning questions for them

i promised myself that i would anwer each question tactfully but truthfully at the same time

hehee, kiut betol budak2 ni

love them very much

so much for the happy holidays. but they did enjoy themselves though
