then i failed to download the video clip i took at this afternoon's movie premier @ cathay causeway point

my lappy's bluetooth connection got problem ah, boring sey!

met the casts up close but not so personal lah

but didn't get a closer look at fahri....eh maner boleh kan....heh.

movie verdict?

well the advise is, if you've read the book......don't expect it to be an exact adaptation from habiburrahman el shirazy's creation

as always happen in all movies adapted from novels, odds are they are never the same

like kite runner, i felt slight disappointment

from a scale of 1 to 100, i'll give ayat ayat cinta the movie 60 out of 100 in terms of accuracy and capturing the true essence from the novel

macam kak lynn cakap "yang pendek di panjangkan,

yang panjang dipendekkan"

paham eh paham eh

if you've watched the movie then go and read the book

like me, i need to re-read the book to bring my heart back to its right place - to the original plot and story line

to me the beauty of ayat ayat cinta can only be found in the novel itself

go on, read the exquisite novel

so i'm sticking to habiburrahman el shirazy's paperback

but don't get me wrong

the movie is great

don't hold back from watching the movie

i myself cried buckets during the show

owang sebelah diriku pun dari mula gelap sampai timbol terang asek sot set sot set, hingus meleleh tak berhenti henti

asek melalak ajer si dod tu

maklum, bunga daffodil kan

the movie is great in its own right

but the novel is magnificient in every left and right, front and back
