4th day KL - tolong! tolong!
30th march
the day always starts with breakfast, i noticed. heh.
today's plan - jelajah bkt bintang or so we thought
took a cab to pavilion
you see days before we were in kl, along has mentioned about the much talked about 'the loaf' many a times
the newly opened bakery-gourmet cafe
the one where tun dr mahathir loves them buns - his favourite bakery
i think maybe the cafe is opened by tun dr mahathir's favourite pastry chef
the menus displayed mostly featured the ex-pm's favourite breakfast dish blah blah blah.....
we were actually clueless where exactly is 'the loaf'
but alas, our cab dropped us at the pavilion and you guess it.....right infront of 'the loaf'
we were ecstatic
we went straight into the cafe.....aroma of the freshly baked breads are so mouth-watering indeed
we decided to survey survey around pavilion dulu lah before settled for lunch
so we walked and walked
i went into dorothy perkins and got for myself a pair of jeans and a top........cik abang bayarkan, selamat....heh.
soon after we continued walking and walking....loitering around, dah macam mat and minah2 lepak pulak.
lol
we didn't know what to have for lunch
hub insisted on 'the loaf'
"dah terlanjur kat sini and korang dah yik yak about the loaf kan....puashati makan ajer lah kat situ jadik tak kempunan!" hub said.
the loaf are made up of 2 storey cafe
ground floor is made up of the bakery and on 2nd floor is the restaurant/cafe
we were taken aback when we saw wine racks in the restaurant
turns out the bakery/cafe/restaurant whatever you called it...
'THE LOAF IS NOT HALAL"
kalo dah jual wine tu who know what ingredients they put in their food no matter if they are just harmless muffins, tarts or buns or choux pastry whatever you name it
we were utterly disappointed but at the same time grateful to Allah for the eye opener
if we hadn't gone up to the 2nd floor, we wouldn't have known that they sell liquor at the joint.
hhmmpph!!
our journey continued....to find lunch lah aper lagik!
tucked in one corner of the mall was a thai restaurant -Thai Express
turned out lunch at Thai Express was fantastic
i am always a true believer in the saying
'saving the best for last',
'no pain no gain'
'berakit rakit ke hulu
berenang renang kemudian
bersakit sakit dahulu
bersenang senang kemudian'
indeed. our lunch meal was satisfying
we had noodles, tomyam, olive fried rice
dod ordered something like jemput-jemput which was so sedap!
good choice
after lunch at the pavilion mall, we walked to KL plaza
nothing much here
donno why but most shops are closed, like walking in a white elephant mall
bought 2 tops for heiress at the factory outlet
we stopped by at a shop selling leather goods
saw few sandals which i thought would look good on the hub
tapi sayang seribu kali sayang.......none of the sandals carry his size
size 11!
gedek kan kaki dier....
yesterday - 29 March was the last day we were granted leniency of solat jama'
today onwards we solat as usual
on the 4th floor of kl plaza
i asked a staff at the factory outlet store and he told me the location
he also says the place is rather quiet and not many people knows about this
i thought...well the reason not many people know is because nobody bothers to ask!
we had to take a lift up and the walked up a staircase to get to the small surau
true enough...the place is very very quiet, a bit eerie at the same time
luckily we've got us, 3 of us gals
we took turns taking ablutions and prayed 'asr together
pity hub, he was of course on his own lah....at the male surau
but then....he's a man what, nak tak nak mesti berani jugak kan.
Alhamdulillah, our prayer session was smooth sailing
lepas ni leh jalan jalan lagik, yey!
it always feels good and a blessing indeed to know that wherever we are, whatever we do,
Our Lord grants upon us His mercy for us to carry out our obligatory duties
what excuse have we got not to carry out thee??
after kl plaza, we went to sungai wang plaza
sungai wang plaza is our far east plaza in comparison
we walked and walked and walked sampai tak kuasa nak jalan lagik
after exhausing ourselves, we took a cab but not before hub put his bargaining power into motion
RM15 from starhill to klcc - sunggoh outrageous kan!
daylight robbery we called it
hub bargained and we got in the cab for RM10
okaylah tu kan
dod wanted A&W, that's why we went to klcc
we shared waffles and root beer float
then dod bought shepherd's pie at secret recipe
me was too full to eat oredi
we rushed back to the apartment, didn't want to miss waktu maghrib as isya' was drawing near
dod was leading, chet!
maybe she had a sudden urge to BEWAK gaknyer, that explained her lipas kodong moves
moreover tonight on Tv3, there is a live show - anugerah bintang popular berita harian and we were looking forward to watch it - live in kl.
awesome
so while watching the show, we had cakes (the ones we bought at isetan yesterday), dod's shepherd pie, famous amos cookies, A&W burger
i was happy and sad
happy that tomorrow i'll be back home in my babies' arms
sad that our trip in kl - our 1sst maiden journey in search of true sahabat had come to an end tonight
mawi won the most popular artiste of the year in that show we were watching
i won 3 great sahabat and nothing could beat that
