welcoming our new islamic year - 1429 Hijrah

i love you, for Allah

as i am never good in giving religious advises,

i have taken some of these from sis muna's blog for us to share

"many people do hold themselves to account, but only in terms of their worldly lives - so that they may gain more of this fast-vanishing life.

they never seem to give heed to the real, and infinitely more important,

accounting and recording that of matters that could lead them to be further away from Allah,

or result in them being admitted into Paradise with the company of the people of Allah

they pass many years of their lives without sincere and accurate accountability with regards to the Hereafter"

Rasulullah, peace and blessings be upon Him, said :

"FEAR ALLAH WHEREVER YOU ARE AND PERFORM GOOD DEEDS AFTER DOING EVIL ONES - THE LATTER WILL OBLITERATE THE FORMER

AND BEHAVE COURTEOUSLY TOWARDS OTHERS" [At-Tarmidzi]

i can't help but think hard,

each time the clock strikes 12

when a new year beckons before our eyes

most of us leave the past year and welcome the new year with new resolutions

but ironic as it seems,

we fail to give ourselves new resolutions

when it comes to our very own islamic calendar year

so let's make our resolutions now

as we welcome our new islamic year 1429 Hijrah

resolutions to attain Allah's blessing

to be with them who will help us to enter Paradise

to be with The Book which will aid us on our journey into Paradise

to perform our 5 pillars of Islam to the best of our capacity, capability and knowledge

I pray for Allah to keep us safe from harm

and

TO PLACE THIS WORLD ON OUR PALMS

NOT IN OUR HEARTS
