It sure looks like a gigantic bullet to me. Well it's actually a regenerator vessel.
The regenerator is part of the HOFCC (Rabigh High Olefin Fluidized Catalytic Cracker (HOFCC)....sounds like a cookie brand ey. In this section, heavy oil is cracked into valuable light products and sent to a recovery section. This cracker is designed to produce 1.5 million tons of polymer grade ethylene per year. The facilities are part of the mega-complex being developed by PetroRabigh at Rabigh Refinery which my 2 brothers are currently involved and scheduled for start-up by the third quarter of 2008.
